For this program, I created the following goals and objectives to help guide participant learning.
Goal 1:
Students will be able to engage in the interactive process of requesting accommodations each semester.
Objectives:
- Students will demonstrate their ability to engage in the accommodation process by successfully following all the parts of the set procedure for requesting accommodations each semester they wish to use accommodations.
- Students will demonstrate their ability to engage in the interactive accommodation process by giving their letters of accommodation to their instructors each semester.
- Students will demonstrate their knowledge of their responsibilities in the interactive process by communicating with their accommodations specialist at least once a semester either in person, over the phone, through email, or via an accommodations request form.
Goal 2:
Students will be able to effectively work and communicate with their instructors.
Objectives:
- Students will demonstrate their ability to effectively communicate with their instructors by emailing them, as well as their accommodations specialist when they encounter an issue in their class.
Goal 3:
Students will be able to utilize both campus and community resources when needed.
Objectives:
- Students will demonstrate their ability to utilize either campus or community resources by connecting with at least one resource on campus to learn about how that specific resource can support them.
Goal 4:
Students will be aware of different approaches to managing stress and anxiety.
Objectives:
- Students will demonstrate their ability to manage their stress and anxiety by determining one strategy they can use the deal with stress and anxiety.
